Rajes is the founding partner of the firm and heads the firm’s Conveyancing & Commercial Department.

Prior to establishing the firm in 1997, Rajes served as a legal assistant at Paul Chong & Kraal from 1991 to 1994 and thereafter co-founded the firm of Edlin Ghazaly & Raghavji in 1994.

Rajes’s areas of specialisation are commercial agreements in particular share sale agreements and acquisition of businesses. He had advised numerous public listed companies in commercial transaction ranging from RM1 million to RM110 million.

He also has substantial experience in both financial and general litigation (including corporate, banking, securities, and hire purchase and leasing litigation). He conducts in-house training of the firm’s staff and associates in order to ensure that they are well equipped to deal with the variety of litigation and corporate work handled by the firm.

He has been engaged regularly since 1992 as a trainer on the conference circuit in his areas of specialisation on commercial joint venture, litigation and financial recovery at conferences, seminars and the in-house training events of our clientele.

For his Master in Laws, his dissertation was on the “Regime of Legal Controls Pertaining to Trans-national Companies’ participation in the Petroleum Industry in Malaysia” and was awarded a distinction for the dissertation.
